An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Nigeria office for a Country Security Manager. Reporting to the Country President with functional reporting to MEA Head of Security, the Country Security Manager will be responsible for protecting our people and assets against all kinds of malicious acts. To design, implement, and maintain country/cluster-wide security standards and programs.
Ensure that all entities and locations comply with global security infrastructure standards and directives, primarily GSD-02, complemented by any more stringent client requirements. This is focused mainly on on-site risk assessment, security leadership, CCTV, access control, visitor management, and intrusion detection.
Ensure the performance of local site security guarding. Including regular reviews, enforcing guard rotation and review/renewal of security service provider every three years (minimum)
Conduct regular structured internal audits, training and communication on security topics (raising awareness with all staff) with a view to continuous improvement and enhancement of security performance
Maintain oversight of all business travelers coming to country/cluster, to include travel validation and active monitoring of employees traveling within country/cluster
Ensure expatriate and long-term assignees security in-country – including accommodation, transport arrangements, evacuation planning, etc
Develop and maintain the crisis management team and competency for the country/cluster.
Build strong networks and relationships with other local companies, governmental agencies, and appropriate foreign embassies.
Where necessary, establish and keep up-to-date specific evacuation plans
Actively participate in the regional Schneider security network, contributing to best practice sharing and MEA regional security projects as necessary
Provide regular security risk and security briefs to the country leadership team and business leads on an ad-hoc basis
BTEC Level 4 in Security Management (or equivalent)
At least 7 years of relevant experience in security management in a commercial industry
Two years as a security manager in a commercial organization
Experience in design and implementation of site security infrastructure
Good Understand the basics of cybersecurity,
Security risk management experience and skills
Experience in developing and delivering training.
Security professional within a corporate/business environment is highly desired,
Experience of tendering for, and appointing, new static and mobile security providers
