A blast hit the town center of Iskenderun, the Hatay province, Turkey on Monday evening, October 26. No casualties reported in the incident, and two terrorists involved in the explosion were neutralized by security forces. An anti-terror operation is ongoing. Although there has been no claim for responsibility, the PKK/YPG terrorist group is a suspect since it is known for operating in the region in its 30-year-long campaign against Turkey. The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and the EU. The YPG is the PKK’s branch in Syria.
